My first year working at CL4Women Written by Rebecca Hoe

I can’t believe that it’s been a whole year since I joined the team at CL4Women, it truly has been everything I hoped it would be!
One of my core passions for moving to CL4Women was to be able to reach out to women who require support with their finances and to be able to provide them with holistic financial advice… something I knew CL4Women would support.
I think women like a different approach to men when it comes to engaging in Financial Planning. Having been in financial services for over 25 years, I learned a long time ago that the difference between providing a service and making a difference is about going above and beyond. It is about being a trusted advisor someone that your clients can turn to whatever is going on in life. When I joined CL4Women I wanted to be able to offer my clients this level of commitment combined with a holistic approach to their financial needs.
I believe women feel more comfortable sharing personal information with other women. I have experienced a number of times where a client, or a potential client, have said that they didn’t expect to discuss nonfinancial troubles with their financial adviser. Finances often cross over with important career, relationship and family decisions. I have had very many long conversations with clients before we have even discussed their financial needs.
My clients have said that they prefer working with a female adviser we have been found to be better listeners, have more empathy, and better at explaining financial details in a plain and straightforward way. Many of my clients have said that they need to talk their about circumstances more, understand more, and be listened to more. My job is to listen to women and try and understand their needs.
Reflecting on the last year it hasn’t just been about myself as a ‘face’ for CL4Women, there has also been the great support team behind me and wider office with clients commenting on the helpful and involved nature of the team. Someone always on hand to turn to and help with not only the advice but the administrative side too, all being focused on the clients best interests and goals.
I have been delighted by the lovely feedback I have received personally and through VouchedFor:
“I have never been let down by Rebecca we are very happy with her vast knowledge and care with our pension and our future thank you!”
“Rebecca’s help and advice has been invaluable she has provided me with prompt and reliable help and advice. She was very helpful throughout Covid and always at the end of the phone.”
“Rebecca has helped me make decisions which I am happy with, based on her information and knowledge. I think her advice has been excellent.”
I am looking forward to many more years working with my clients at CL4Women as their trusted adviser. If you are a client of mine and are happy to leave me a VouchedFor review please visit: www.vouchedfor.co.uk/financial-advisor-ifa/nottingham/065677-rebecca-hoe
